This app is fairly useless for kids above the age of 3. It doesnt teach anything phonetically which is essential to learning at that age. My 3 year old was easily able to finish but when I wrote the same words on a board, she couldnt say it. The use of pictures puts the emphasis more on identifying than actual reading. The bobs scholastic books were much more useful and so was Kumon.
